ARCONE BY JDESIGNLABS
The original wall control.
An optional voice companion. One system.
A PRESENCE THAT MAKES HOME FEEL PERSONAL
Your original circular ArcOne stays at the heart of the experience: turn for quick adjustments, press for a selected scene, and read the room through its illuminated ring.
Add the optional voice companion for natural conversations, spoken updates and everyday assistance. Together with a local controller and compatible devices, the system is being designed to coordinate your home’s energy, climate and routines.
Original wall knob · Optional speaker extensionWITH THE OPTIONAL VOICE EXTENSION
A calm, cinematic sense of assistance—with its own voice and personality. Your wall control remains close at hand.
“ArcOne, help me settle in and get ready for tomorrow.”
“Your evening lights are ready. I can set the bedroom to your preferred temperature and move EV charging to the off-peak window. Your first meeting is at nine. Shall I set your morning routine?”
Proposed experience using connected devices, calendar access and your approved settings.Add the voice companion to speak normally, ask a follow-up, or interrupt to change direction. The vision is a calm, attentive extension with context you choose to share.
OPTIONAL SPEAKER EXTENSIONAsk about circuit usage, notice unusual consumption, and schedule approved loads through a supported smart-panel connection.
ENERGY + SMART BREAKERSCoordinate supported thermostats, air conditioning, lights, shades and ventilation around your schedule and comfort preferences.
CLIMATE + AMBIENCEHear a morning digest of your calendar, home status and chosen priorities. Turn a goal into manageable reminders and routines.
DAILY LIFE + PERSONAL GOALSOptional room sensors bring temperature, humidity, CO₂, occupancy and air-quality trends into the same home conversation.
ROOM CONTEXTBring supported door, leak and camera events together. ArcOne aims to explain what happened and offer an appropriate next step.
HOME AWARENESSFROM A REQUEST TO A COORDINATED HOME
ArcOne’s core ambition is to connect the conversation to what is actually happening across your home.
“Prepare the house for the night.”
Combine your preferences with current device states.
Check permissions, operating limits and actions needing confirmation.
Send supported commands, check results and report what changed.
Read available circuit and energy data. Control only approved, remotely switchable loads through a supported manufacturer integration. Coordinate EV charging and backup priorities where the equipment permits it.
The breaker still does its job.ArcOne would not bypass protective trips, reset a fault remotely, or switch protected essential circuits automatically. Electrical installation belongs to a qualified professional.
Use thermostat and appliance integrations for temperature, modes and schedules. Use light, shade, lock, valve and media integrations for the controls those devices actually expose.
Power access is only one layer.Turning a circuit on does not make an appliance smart. HVAC uses its supported thermostat controls; device status must be verified before ArcOne reports an action complete.
Smart-panel brands are integration candidates, not certified ArcOne partners. Available APIs, commercial permissions and supported firmware determine what can be delivered. Example: SPAN’s published API and terms ↗
INSIDE YOUR ORIGINAL ARCONE
The brushed-black circular face, centered mark and illuminated ring stay. Behind the surface: tactile input, local control and a connection to your home system.

The original face becomes the tactile control, with an encoder and press action behind it.
Ambient feedback for selected scenes and system state, with the familiar amber design direction.
A microcontroller, radio, low-voltage power circuit and rear mounting plate connect the interface to supported home systems.
AN OPTIONAL EXTENSION
The speaker is a separate companion for conversation, audio and richer local processing. It extends your original ArcOne knob.

SPEAKER EXTENSION + SYSTEM CONTROLLER CANDIDATES
Microphone array + voice processor
Beamforming and acoustic echo cancellation help separate your voice from room noise and the speaker’s own output. A physical switch disconnects microphone capture in the proposed design.
XMOS XVF3800-class voice DSP. Final selection depends on prototyping, supply, acoustics and thermal testing. Manufacturer details ↗
Application processor + memory
Runs the home-device registry, local rules and supported audio workloads. Complex conversation would use cloud AI; an on-device accelerator does not mean a full cloud-class assistant runs offline.
NXP i.MX 8M Plus-class processor. Final selection depends on prototyping, supply, acoustics and thermal testing. Manufacturer details ↗
Connectivity controller + network
A candidate for Bluetooth setup and 802.15.4 connectivity alongside the main network interface. Thread, Zigbee and Matter capabilities require the right firmware, integration and certification—not merely a radio chip.
ESP32-C6-class radio controller. Final selection depends on prototyping, supply, acoustics and thermal testing. Manufacturer details ↗
Speaker, amplifier + acoustic enclosure
A dedicated acoustic chamber supports clear spoken briefings, responses, alerts and supported media. The light seam communicates listening, thinking and speaking without a tablet screen.
Full-range driver + Class-D amplification. Final selection depends on prototyping, supply, acoustics and thermal testing.
Thermal design + low-voltage power
A weighted base, controlled heat path and external certified power supply form the physical foundation. The companion contains no mains breaker hardware; panel work stays with the approved electrical equipment.
Heat spreader, power-management board + secure storage. Final selection depends on prototyping, supply, acoustics and thermal testing.
AWARENESS, WHERE IT MATTERS
Distributed sensing gives a more useful picture than measuring everything next to a warm speaker. The companion, optional room modules and your existing compatible devices each have a role.
Comfort ranges, humidity alerts and compatible HVAC routines.
Ventilation reminders or approved ventilation scenes. CO₂ is not oxygen measurement.
Particle trends and air-purifier routines where supported.
Lights and comfort matched to room use; placement and privacy settings matter.
Measured circuit demand and usage summaries; shared circuits do not identify every appliance.
Leak and entry notifications, with approved valve or access actions.
All sensor capabilities are proposed and depend on the selected edition and accessories. Air-quality readings are informational. Certified smoke and carbon-monoxide alarms remain independent. Bulb replacement reminders, where offered, estimate life from usage and ratings. Sensor reference ↗
THE EVERYDAY ASSISTANT, TOO
Beyond the home systems, ArcOne’s roadmap spans the everyday assistant experiences people expect.
Natural follow-ups, explanations, planning help and personalized answers.
Calendars, lists, timers, alarms, reminders and spoken daily briefings.
Music, podcasts, household announcements and messaging through supported services.
Shopping lists, meal planning, travel help and supported booking or purchase workflows—with confirmation.
These are development goals, not a claim of Alexa+ feature parity. Music catalogs, calling, bookings, purchases and third-party services need their own integrations, agreements and regional support. The website does not currently operate home equipment or run an ArcOne assistant.
WHY CHOOSE THE ARCONE VISION?
If you want a premium companion built around energy, comfort and the systems behind your home, ArcOne is being designed for you. The reason to choose it is the quality of that complete home experience.
Bring supported circuit demand, room conditions and your schedule into one explanation—and one coordinated plan.
Keep the original knob for immediate tactile control. Add the speaker extension when you want natural conversation, spoken briefings and an attentive voice.
See why an action was suggested, set the rules, and receive confirmation based on the reported device state. Core local automation is a design priority.
| Your priority | ArcOne’s proposed direction | Alexa+ today |
|---|---|---|
| Conversational assistance | An optional speaker extension with configurable context and home-focused briefings. | Natural conversation and personalized assistance across Echo speakers, displays, mobile and web. |
| Connected-home depth | Energy-panel data, room sensors and device state brought together through approved integrations. | Smart-home control and routines across an established device ecosystem; depth varies by integration. |
| Product experience | A signature circular wall knob, optional voice companion and room modules in one system. | A broad choice of speakers, displays and other Alexa-enabled devices. |
| What you can buy | A concept in development. Performance, integrations and pricing are not finalized. | Shipping products and a mature service ecosystem, with features varying by device and region. |
Alexa+ is already a capable conversational assistant, not just a smart display. ArcOne’s differentiators above are design goals that must be demonstrated in a working product. Amazon’s Alexa+ feature overview ↗

No payment. No commitment.A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
ArcOne is a product concept being developed by JDESIGNLABS. These renders and proposed specifications communicate the intended design. The interest list is not a preorder or a reserved unit.
No. ArcOne is intended to connect to compatible systems through their supported interfaces. Existing protective devices and equipment controls remain responsible for safe operation. Smart-panel control requires an approved integration and properly installed equipment; it does not provide unrestricted access to every circuit or appliance.
No. The original brushed-black circular wall knob and illuminated ring remain the main ArcOne design. The speaker is an optional extension for voice interaction and audio. The proposed system pairs tactile control with conversation when you want it.
That is the direction for the optional speaker extension: a clear, composed voice, natural follow-ups, useful context and concise briefings. ArcOne will have its own identity and voice. Exact voice options, response latency and on-device capabilities still need development and testing.
The roadmap targets broad assistant categories—conversation, knowledge, organization, media, communication and supported services—alongside home-system coordination. Alexa’s proprietary services, content licenses and integrations do not transfer to ArcOne. We will publish a verified capability list as integrations are built.
The design goal is to retain supported local routines and device controls while powered and connected to the home network. Cloud AI conversation and cloud-only integrations need internet access. Backup operation also requires power for ArcOne, the network and relevant equipment.
A planned OpenAI API integration would support conversation and summaries using information you choose to connect. Proposed controls include physical microphone mute, editable preferences and clear permissions for consequential actions. ArcOne is independently developed by JDESIGNLABS; no OpenAI partnership or endorsement is implied.
The earlier $99, $199 and $299 figures described a smaller lighting-controller concept. This expanded voice-and-home-system device needs new component, manufacturing, certification, support and cloud-cost estimates. Final pricing is in development.
